Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data the Tammen app and website collect, how we use and protect it, who can see it, and the rights you have. We’ve written it in plain language, because some of this data is about your health and the health of people you love.
This policy is also available in Arabic. If the two versions differ, the Arabic version prevails.
1Who we are
Tammen is a medication reminder and tracking app built and run by an independent developer (“we”, “us”). We process your personal data in line with Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020 and its executive regulations.
2Data we collect
We only collect what we need to run the service:
- Account data: your name and the sign-in method you choose, such as a phone number or email address.
- People you care for: the name or nickname you choose for each person.
- Health data you enter: medication names, doses and times as prescribed by the doctor; the status of each dose (“Taken”, “Not yet” or “Missed”) and when it was recorded; remaining pill counts; doctor appointments and notes; and readings such as weight, blood pressure and blood sugar.
- Care team data: who you invited to follow along with you, and who accepted.
- Device data: the notification identifier needed to deliver reminders, plus device type, operating system and app version.
- Support messages: anything you send us when you contact us.
Health data is sensitive data under the law, so we handle it with extra care and only with your explicit consent.
3How we use your data
- To run the service: building medication schedules and sending reminders on time.
- To show dose statuses to the care team members you added.
- To alert you before medication runs out, and remind you of doctor appointments.
- To display the readings you log as charts.
- To answer your questions and provide support.
- To protect accounts, prevent misuse, and meet our legal obligations.
We do not use your data to give medical advice or to assess your health — Tammen only records and displays. We do not use your health data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal data to anyone.
4Legal basis and your consent
We process your account data to provide the service you asked for. We process health data based on the explicit consent you give when you create your account.
You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting the relevant data or asking us to delete your account. Please note that this may stop some features from working.
6Where your data is stored
Your data is stored on Tammen’s own server, which we run ourselves; we don’t use an outside company to store or manage your data. If running the service requires transferring personal data outside Egypt, we will only do so under the conditions set by the Personal Data Protection Law.
7How long we keep data
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your data or make it impossible to link to you within 14 days, except where the law requires us to keep it longer.
8How we protect data
We apply technical and organisational measures suited to the sensitivity of health data, including encrypting data in transit and limiting access to those who need it to run the service.
No protection is ever completely guaranteed. If a breach affects your data, we will notify the Personal Data Protection Center and affected users as the law requires. We recommend locking your device and not sharing your sign-in details.
9Your rights
The Personal Data Protection Law gives you rights over your data, including the right to:
- Know what data we hold about you, access it, and get a copy.
- Correct, update or complete your data.
- Ask us to delete your data or restrict its processing.
- Withdraw your consent to processing.
- Object to processing where the law allows.
- Be informed of any breach affecting your data.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at ahdabash99@gmail.com, and we’ll respond within the time the law sets. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Center.
10Adding other people
When you add someone whose medication you follow — such as one of your parents — you confirm that you have their consent, or that you are legally responsible for their care.
Account holders must be at least 18 years old. A child’s data may only be added by their legal guardian.
11This website
tammen.space does not use cookies, tracking tools or ads. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your IP address is sent to Google when you browse. Our website host may also keep short-term technical logs, such as IP address and browser type, for operations and security.
12Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top, and if a change is significant, we’ll notify you in the app before it takes effect.
13Contact us
For any question about your privacy, or to exercise your rights, email us and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
